Digital Skills for Hotel & Catering
This course is designed for beginner learners in hotel operations and catering who want to develop practical computer skills that support their vocational training and future workplace requirements. Instead of learning computers as a separate subject, students apply digital tools to real hospitality tasks such as menu planning, event costing, customer communication, and business record keeping.
Throughout the program, learners gain confidence in using computers, word processing, spreadsheets, and basic online tools while working with examples relevant to hospitality and food service environments. Students learn how to create digital portfolios showcasing food preparation or service projects, use spreadsheets to price catering events and manage basic budgets, communicate professionally through email, and explore basic marketing using social media for hospitality businesses.
By the end of the course, learners will understand how digital technology supports modern hotel and catering operations and will have foundational digital and entrepreneurial skills that prepare them for employment, internships, or starting small food and hospitality businesses.
